Sick Time: (reference Employee Handbook section 5.5 page 41)
- Do I qualify for Sick Time? Yes, you will begin accruing sick time on day 1 of employment, (40 hours max per year)
- When can I use my sick time? After, your 90 days of employment, you can utilize your sick time for sick events
- Do I need a doctor’s note for sick time? For sick leaves of 2 days or more, you will need to submit a Doctor’s Notes/proof for Sick Time
- How do I submit or request sick time pay? By using this link: https://nu.care/forms & filling out Request for Time Off
- Where can I see my sick time balances? By logging into your Employee ADP Account and viewing your Paystubs
- Does my (unused) accrued sick time roll over at the end of the year? Yes, unused sick time rolls over but is capped at a maximum of 80 hours per year.
Jury Duty: (reference Employee Handbook section 8.8 page 84)
- Is Jury Duty Paid? Time Off for Jury Duty will be considered non-paid, in accordance with state law.
- Can I use my sick time to cover Jury Duty? No, sick time can only be used for sick events.
- Will my Jury Duty “absence” affect my attendance status? No, Jury Duty is an excused absence, (submitted proof)
Time Off to Vote: (reference Employee Handbook section 5.11 page 48)
- Are we paid for Time Off to Vote? Yes, 2 hours of Paid Time Off to Vote, (submit voter’s receipt as proof) to qualify
Direct Deposit & Payroll Questions: (reference Employee Handbook section 3.4 page 25)
- Will I receive paystubs in the mail? No, you need to access to your paystubs in the ADP App
- How do I access my ADP Employee Account: Check your “Welcome Email” when 1st hired, instructions were given here.
- When are we paid? Every Friday for the previous week, (working hours) Sunday-Saturday
How do I update my address: In ADP, but also notify our office of any address changes - How do I updated my Direct Deposit: By using this link and filling out the ”Payroll Method Change Form” at https://nu.care/forms
- Do I get mileage reimbursement? No, mileage is not automatic, case by case basis, our office will inform you if mileage for a client is reimbursable. Do not drive a client unless it has been 1st approved by your manager. Always call the office if and when a client is requesting you to drive or run errands for them.
